On September 12, 1946 in Cardiff, Wales, Mr. O.T. Walters judged the first championship show after World War II, held by the Welsh Terrier Association, with 117 Welsh Terriers in 10 classes, a record entry that remains intact to date. In his younger years, Mr. Walters was a breeder and exhibitor of Welsh Terriers. As a dog show judge, he awarded Certificates at 15 Championship shows. Mr. Walters of Cardiff was a one-time president, chairman, and founder of the Welsh Terrier Association (founded in 1923), and a prominent member of The Kennel Club (founded in 1873) from 1922 until his death.*
