Ch. Dewi of St. Aubrey was the third of only seven Welsh Terriers to win Best In Show at the Montgomery County Kennel Club show in 1961. He was handled by Mrs. Edward P. (“Ernestine”) Alker’s kennel manager, Mr. John Goudie. “Dewi” was also the winner of the Welsh Terrier Club of America Junior Challenge Cup in 1963.
The six other MCKC winners include Ch. Toplight Template of Twin Ponds in 1952 and 1953, Ch. Caradoc Llwyd of St. Aubrey in 1961, Ch. Copperboots Wee Blaste in 1978, Ch. Anasazi Billy The Kid in 1996, GCh. Ch. Abbeyrose Captain Jack in 2018, and GCh. Ch. Brightluck Money Talks in 2019.
